Vintage jewellery

I had a big thing a while ago for buying vintage costume jewellery. I’ve had this ages and can’t remember where it came from. Yes, vintage items are more sustainable than new ones, but there’s something more to it. I like to wonder who originally bought this, where and why. Maybe it was a gift. Perhaps the first owner saw it in a shop window, saved up and wore it for a special occasion.

As soon as the pandemic is over, I plan afternoons hunting in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham, and other towns with second-hand hoards to explore.
